Merely days remain for the coaching staffs at Washington and Auburn to put the final touches on what many consider a likely “elimination game” for the College Football Playoff. As odd as that sounds being the two top 10 ranked teams’ season opener, both the Huskies and Tigers would have to pull the football equivalent of an inside straight in poker to make the playoff after dropping the season opener.
