There are losses teams in the brutal SEC experience most years, and then, Oh brother, then there are losses which on the surface at least, appeared entirely avoidable with smarter coaching moves in the second half. Such was the case in Gus Malzahn’s second loss of the 2017 season at Death Valley in Baton Rouge, the first SEC loss of the season for Auburn.
