Auburn Football All-Access Podcast, Episode 136, Nov. 7, 2016

In the short span of mere weeks, Gus Malzahn’s Auburn Tigers have vaulted from hoping to salvage a respectable 2016 season after two tough early losses, to suddenly contending for the SEC West Division title.  Rarely do college football seasons run their course without the entirely unexpected jolt of major upsets, and such was the case on November 5th, as the Mississippi State Bulldogs knocked off the # 4 ranked CFB Playoff team, the Texas A&M Aggies.

Add to the upset of the Aggies the Florida Gators falling to an Arkansas team that Auburn destroyed 56-3, and Auburn could rightly consider itself among the fortunate in escaping a determined and pesky visiting Vanderbilt team by the score of 23-16.  The win placed the Tigers in the remarkable position of needing only a road win over their rival Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday, November 12th in Athens to make the Iron Bowl tilt with Alabama a “winner take all” for the SEC West title and trip to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game.

Join Coach John Ray and Doug Dean as they discuss the struggles that befell the Tigers in the Vanderbilt game, and how Malzahn’s Tigers can overcome injury issues to beat the Georgia Bulldogs.
